Founded in 1962, FESPA organises the leading exhibitions and conferences for this community. It aims to attract over 25,000 visitors to the exhibition from the UK , Europe and the Rest of the world .This exhibition will provide an excellent platform to showcase Ditto to a global audience and to the key players in the sign, print and display markets.

Ditto Formcore from BCP Fluted Packaging has been developed to provide a biodegradable alternative to PS foam, PU foam, corrugated and solid display boards for in-store signage.

Ditto’s patented laminated structure comprises two embossed layers formed symmetrically and laminated to coated board. Its open multi-directional structure is manufactured to perform well in-store, even in challenging atmospheric conditions like chiller sections. Ditto is suitable for guillotining, die-cutting and creasing.

According to BCP the substrate’s white paper construction means that it will attract the best post-consumer waste price where segregated for recycling.

Brian Jones, BCP proprietor and chairman, said that the development of Ditto represented a real breakthrough for the retail in-store signage sector

Its open multi-directional structure is said to perform well in-store, even in challenging atmospheric conditions like chiller sections. Ditto is suitable for guillotining, die-cutting and creasing.

According to BCP the substrate’s white paper construction means that it will attract the best post-consumer waste price where segregated for recycling.

Brian Jones, BCP proprietor and chairman, said that the development of Ditto represented a real breakthrough for the retail in-store signage sector. “The range of substrates currently available is considerable, but there are simply too many performance and environmental compromises that the retailer has to make – which is why we have developed Ditto. PS and PU foam boards are being used less and less these days because of their environmental impact but the fact that they still command significant market share is a clear indication that no all-round single paper based solution has been available until now. Foam centred board is notoriously unstable and is prone to warp once printed or whilst hanging in store due to changes in humidity. Corrugated and solid display boards may be recyclable but corrugated is prone to twist and suffers from flute show-through whilst solid boards lack rigidity and stability. We predict that there will be real enthusiasm for Ditto as retailers recognise the significant benefits it has to offer both in performance and in terms of environmental objectives.”

Ditto specification details:

Press Announcement:

Specialist corrugating company, BCP Fluted Packaging have announced a major restructure within their business as they target future growth.

The owner Brian Jones, who has guided the business through a period of recovery and then significant growth since acquiring the business in 1999, has appointed Alan McAulay as Managing Director and he moves to the position of Chairman. Alan joined BCP in 2008 as Sales Director and he will continue to oversee the commercial team as part of his expanded responsibilities.

The Company has strengthened the Board still further with the recruitment of Con Shea who returns to BCP after a period of six years at Contego Packaging’s Coburn Fields plant.

Brian Jones stated that he was standing back from the day to day management in order to focus on the continued strategic growth. “We are about to launch an innovative patent protected Sign and Display Board concept that is lightweight and provides the benefits of foam centred board that is totally recyclable, extremely stable and, unlike foam, is suitable for die cutting. This latest development reflects how important innovation is to our success and having a strong management in place provides me with the comfort and knowledge that I can look more to the challenges of the future than the issues of today”.
